Work-Life Balance

In 2050, 40% of women in professional jobs have not started families because of work. 30% of men did not want families because of work. Has the cost of living driven us to become so wrapped up in our work, that it has taken priority over our lives? Are we too concerned with supporting our aging family members that the thought of having children is not an option?
In 2050, we will have the largest number of people over 85. The number of older women will continue to be larger then the number of older men. Poverty in old age and loss of independence will force children to care for their aging parents. The demand on work life is therefore changing to. There will be new work patterns to allow for the changes. The workforce will have flexibility with work schedules as well as ongoing education and exceptional retirement benefits for those who work way into retirement age.
